Requirements:

  • Windows Vista is automatically eligible for use of VPN.
     
  • VPN Host name / Username / Password - Please contact us for these
     
  • Internet Connection (you will need to be connected to the Internet before establishing your VPN connection) 

Setting Up Your VPN Connection

1. Click on Start, then select Connect To

2. Click  Setup a Connection

3. Scroll and Select Connect to workplace and click Next

4. (optional - if you have existing connections) Click No then Next

5. Click Use my Internet Connection

Image

6. Refer to the VPN Information (that was emailed to you) for the VPN address name and enter that in the Internet Address, for the destination name use your company name. Click Next

7. Refer to the VPN Information (that was emailed to you) enter the username and password, note: these are case sensitive and click Connect

8.  This will start the connection.

9. Once connct you can click the Close button.

10. You can check your connectivity via the network icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

Initiating Your VPN Connection

1. If you have an analog modem connection, make sure your Internet connection is active.
    If you have the First connect option enabled, proceed to step 2.

2. Click the Start Button and then Connect to

3. Select the VPN connection and then click Connect button

4. You can check your connectivity via the network icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen

Disconnecting Your VPN Connection

1. When you have finished your session, right click the VPN icon in the task bar

2. Select Disconnect
