Clients can choose as part of their support contract to have regular site visits. BITES-UK scheduled Managed Service days are often invaluable for Customers, even those with in house IT staff.
At these times we will perform set checks on the system to ensure that everything is running as designed. Often these checks are overlooked in the day-to-day running of the IT system. Some of these checks are:
Test restore from backup tapes
Anti-virus updates and client machine coverage
Microsoft Hot Fix and patch installation level
Firewall configuration testing
By doing this Client IT systems are regularly verified and any problems spotted before they cause major headaches.
Managed Service time, at least in part, can also be used to analyze the way in which the network is being used and to suggest and implement improvements. This results in better working practices and an improved service to the network users.
Finally, we will address any issues brought up by the client, whether that is new workstation installations, or new server software installations or updates.
